The Reivers Cycle Route is waymarked for over 173 miles, between Tynemouth on the North Sea Coast and Whitehaven on the Irish Sea.
Opening in 1998, it takes you from the end of the west to east route, and back to the start of the Coast to Coast route, and is an equally picturesque route, with some saying it’s the most superior of the two however with a little less attention given to it so expect a slightly bumpier ride if you’re travelling on two wheels.
The route mainly runs along quiet country roads and traffic free cyclepaths, but also follows many green lanes and forest trails through a wide variety of landscapes on its way, including unspoilt Northumberland and through the great border city, Carlisle.
Again, this route can be managed by all abilities, however be prepared to get a little muddy while navigating through Kielder forest.
If this sounds like the route for you, then please get in touch so we can start organising your trip.
