Hadrian’s Cycleway stretches 174 miles (280km) from Ravenglass to South Shields and covers the length of the Hadrian’s World Heritage Site.
This route takes you through some of England’s most beautiful countryside, and can be walked or cycled in either direction. Although most commonly from West to East. With a mixture of terrains, both on road and traffic free, riverside paths and country lanes it’s a relatively flat route that could be managed by all abilities.
With plenty to see along the way, including 6 different castles, and a number of heritage sites you won’t be short of photo opportunities.
