There are a host of attractions in Hadrian’s Wall Country at the centre of which is Hadrian’s Wall itself, an epic 84 miles in total stretching from sea to sea with some of the most beautiful countryside en route.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is Europe’s largest surviving Roman monument and seeped in history, as well as being a popular location for films and television shoots,  Blackadder fans you may remember when it was remarked on the wall’s unimpressive height! It may not be tall, but it is The Northern Frontier of the Roman Empire and took a task force of 15,000 men in a mere 6 years to build.  Surely that’s got to be reason enough to come and see it for itself.
